Holy Duck Chili Lava Salted Eggs is the embodiment of the decadent flavours found in Asia’s street food phenomenon.  The golden custardy goodness of 3 large salted duck eggs is bathed in the aromatic heat of our special chili blend and all-natural Canadian duck fat, then complimented with a sea of umami boosting ingredients, creating a sauce of unparalleled depth and flavor.    

The salted egg yolk craze was first spotted in the Dim Sum restaurants of Hong Kong, used as a filling for ‘lau sa bao’, literally translated as “golden sand bun”, a steamed bun filled with molten custard made from butter, condensed milk and salted egg yolk. This sweet and salty flavour then started to be incorporated in pastry fillings bakeries in Hong Kong, before making its way to Singapore via Malaysia!
